Mobile Communication

I'm hoping to get some input on selection of a communication device. We would like to communicate real time data from buses back to bus depots in large cities. This would have to work long range 20+miles. Right now I am leaning toward a radio modem. Any questions/thoughts?

Multiple Wireless Connections

Is there a limit to how many wireless laptops can get internet connectivity if you have a
basic wireless router? Is it the capacity of the router that determines how many laptops
can access at once or the size of the line coming in? In short, if I have a 3,000 sq. foot
office and want 60 laptops going at once, is this possible?

Use GSM to send and receive data

I know that we need a different number for GSM to use data. But we have difficulties to use the number to dial out to another V.90 modem nor GSM modem. However, the GSM with that data number could receive the data. Do we need another data number for GSM to dial out for data? Or, we we need to ask carrier about additional acctivation for dial out to send data?

wireless communication

The data - speed of a motor - is to be transferred by wireless to the control room which is located 1000 metres away. Please suggest a configuration for the wireless transmitter and receiver sections. The wireless frequency of operation should be in the unlicenced band. I am competent on the instrumentation part but new to the wireless system.
